If you are planning a trip to or are already at Koh Samui and looking for information about snorkeling Koh Samui, look no further. We have gathered all information here for you.

Where to go snorkeling?

You can find snorkeling places at Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Angthong National Marine Park, Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan.

There are very few places where you can go snorkeling at Koh Samui. Koh Samui island itself is not really the snorkeling destination. The waters are clear near the beach, beautiful for swimming and playing the Frisbee but if you go out a bit further it becomes very murky. Around the time of April & Mai and August & September the visibility can be a bit better though.

Good places to snorkel at Koh Samui are near Lamai Beach. To find out where those places are, just click at the names. They are hyperlinked to Google Maps.

You will find mainly rocks with some nice corals and decent mariner life. There used to be lots of stingrays near Grandfather's & Grandmother's Rocks but we haven’t been there for quite a while.

How to get there?

You can rent a motorbike in one of the many rental places. We recommend to rent with Jürgen  WhatsApp 0898837490. Other options would be taxi or public transport called Song Taew.

Koh Taen, Koh Mat Sum are small islands in the south west of Koh Samui with some snorkelling spots. You can rent a long tail boat or book a trip at one of the many travel agencies at Koh Samui.
